Here at the Elephant home we like to set ourself apart from the other elephant camps. Our elephants come here for rest & relaxation.
Here they are not worked but have a free life in a nearly natural environment.Elephants are the largest land mammal from the family Elephantidae, and the order Proboscidea. Two species are recognised the African Elephant ( Loxodonta ) and the Asian elephant ( Elephas maximus ) here we only have the
Asian since this is Asia.
We pride ourself at our elephant home by caring and showing kindness to these gracious graceful animal’s, we invite people to come and interact with our elephant family, spend the day feeding them, walking them, playing with them and bathing them. Here the elephants only have rest and relaxation.
It is widely known that as mammals they can display the same instincts and traits as us humans. We know they are social animals, and have a family rank structure. The eldest female in the family is the Matriarch she is the leader, and all others below answer to her as such. They suckle their young for the first year, weaning starts after that first year but can last up to ten years, They display the same emotionson the death of one in the heard, by mourning the loss. In the wild they have
areas of land where they track to inpreparation of an impending death.
