The Trunk

The nose of an elephant is called trunk which is also the only thing that elephants cherish the most. It contains many muscles which uses for breathing, smelling, sensing vibration and sending low frequency sound as a distanced communication, pumping and injecting water, lifting objects. In the case of picking up danger, an elephant placing its trunk on the ground and carefully positioning its feet.

งวงช้างคือจมูกใช้หายใจ กรองน้ำดี่มใส่ปาก หรือ เป่าออก งวงนั้น มีแต่กล้ามเนี้อ ยีดหดได้ ใช้ยกของที่มีน้ำหนักได้ มาก กลเามเนื้อ มีหลายมัด ว่ากันว่า เป็นแสนมัด วงวนั้น สำคัญต่อช้างมาก ใช้ ดมกลิ่น ว่ากันว่า หลาย กิโลเมตร แล้วยังส่งเสี่ยง หรือ คลี่นความถี่ต่ำ ไปหา เพื่อนช้างได้อีกด้วย และยังเป็น เครื่องวัดระยะ และชั่งน้ำหนัก พี้นทีไม่แข็งแรงได้ยังไว้ แคะพี้นเตือนภัยคุกคามได้อีก งวงช้างจึงเป็นสิ่งเดียวที่ช้างหวงที่สุด ฯลฯ.
